Liverpool heroine Rio Ngumoha said that after the “crazy” feeling of getting a dramatic late winner against Newcastle at the age of 16 and 361, he would not be too step away with all the noise.
Ngumoha became the fourth recent scorer in the history of the Premier League, since his cool strike achieved a 3-2 victory for the Reds in St. James ‘Park in the 10th minute of the partition on Monday evening in St. James’ Park.

He also joined the Liverpool record books as the youngest scorer.
“I was happy to score, I hummed,” said Ngumoha to talk. “I heard it shouting my name and that’s a very sensational moment.
“But you just can’t let yourself be done too much with all the noise, because at the end of the day I will probably do the end of the training 100 times on the training area.
“So it is no different with the fans (here). But the fans who support you there are just crazy.”
Ngumoha was born on August 29, 2008 in Newham in East London and turns 17 on Friday.
At the age of eight, he joined Chelsea’s academy and moved to Liverpool in the summer of 2024.
Rio Ngumoha celebrated after having achieved Liverpool’s winner against Newcastle (Owen Humphreys/PA).
Ngumoha said: “I’m 16, but I don’t want my age to show that I can’t play with the older players.

“I want to prove that I can play with people, not just at my age, many age groups.
“People in the club always help me and I learn and always improve.
“Especially last season, the academy trainers and even the coaches of the first team always say: ‘Make the back post, make the back post.
“The fact that I made the back post is just crazy … When I saw it with Mo (Salah) and Dom (Szoboszlai) who put it through his legs, I was like one-v-one and I just smashed it.”
Ngumoha’s winner came after Liverpool had slipped a lead of two goals against 10-man Newcastle, who had sent Anthony Gordon off the way at the end of the first half.

He said: “The mentality is one thing that should not be overlooked.
“Mental strong, we come back and really believe in ourselves. That’s what the champions are about.”
