New DVLA warning for drivers in front of the number plate change

The drivers were issued an urgent warning before the introduction of new number plates, since strict rules could lead to drivers being fined with a fine of £ 1,000.

Before the introduction of the new 75 -‘cars on September 1, the DVLA asked the drivers to ensure that their own number plates will follow the specifications for the Legal Straße.

“Numbers (also known as license plates) must display your registration number correctly,” said the DVLA.

“You cannot reorganize letters or numbers or change them so that they are difficult to read.

“You could be fined up to 1,000 GBP with a fine, and your vehicle does not fall if you drive with incorrectly displayed number plates.”

The DVLA says that its number plates have to be made from a reflective material, and most black signs on a white background on the front show black signs on a yellow background on the back.

There must be no background pattern, and the plate must be marked to show who delivered the plate.

Signs on the number plate must not be removable or reflective, and all plates equipped after September 1, 2021 must be a single black tone.

The number plates must also be marked with a British standard number, which is for plates after September 1, 2021 BS AU 145E.

The DVLA enables you to have number plates with increased (3D) characters, certain flags and symbols and a green flash if you have a vehicle with zero emissions.

New vehicles will be registered with 75 number plates by February next year if they are registered with ’26 before they are registered at ’76’ from September 2026.
