Dr. Tarek Younis was a guest lecturer at the University College London – X
A high -ranking lecturer seemed to say that terrorism was “invented” by Israel to marginalize Muslims, the Telegraph can show.
Dr. Tarek Younis, an academic at Middlesex University, held a guest lecture at the University College London (UCL) as part of the “Culture and Clinic” of the UCL -MSC of the UCL -MSC of the UCL -MSC of the UCL in clinical psychological sciences.
During this lecture in March, he claimed that “terrorism” was an abstract construct that was created by Israel, and an invented word to marginalize Muslims.
Dr. Younis seemed to praise students who made anti-Israel and anti-Zionist statements during the class and opened silence for the “genocide in Gaza” with a moment.
Dr. Younis also wrote a number of contributions on social media, of which Jewish campaign groups claim that they are anti -Semitic.
On October 4 of last year, he wrote in a contribution to X: “Israel is undoubtedly a racist apartheid system.”
In another contribution dated June 8 last year, Dr. Younis that “our work is not done until all Zionists removed from our institutions and that in addition to all racists are in no way ashamed”. On May 27, he claimed that “our health facilities have a Zionism problem”.

Dr. Younis shared a position of June 9 of last year about the kidnapping of Israeli hostages through Palestinian terrorist groups that said: “If you don’t like, how occupied people have resistance, do not do a crew.”
At the beginning of this year, Dr. Younis a report on the psychological effects of the Palestinian expropriation, which was submitted to support the legal offer to lift the British ban on the Hamas terrorist group.
He was supposed to speak in an Islamophobia committee of the British Association of Behavioral and Cognitive Psychotherapy (BABCP), but the session was scrapped after a Jewish student had complained.
An investigation showed that Dr. Younis had not been checked via UCL bookings or had been checked in accordance with the guidelines of the prevention. Instead, he was invited by Sushrut Jadhav, a former tight colleague, and formal approval processes were avoided.

The internal investigation came to the conclusion: “Would Dr. Younis’ lecture through the prescribed approval procedure of the UCL room booking team, which was carried out by the department from the arm length, you may have evaluated the risk differently.
“If the external speaker process had been followed, it would have been expected to have an employee of the department or a PGT employee [postgraduate] The main contact is available during the lecture. “
With regard to the use of social media by Dr. Younis said the university: “If the external speaker process had been applied and a risk assessment carried out, such positions may have been taken into account as part of this assessment.”
The report states that the department would ensure in the future that the guest speakers “be adequately evaluated in accordance with the guidelines and procedures of the UCL” and that another employee would be “continuously present”.
“Happy to be challenged”
The UCL said in the report that Dr. Younis was not considered “inappropriate” during the lecture.
The university said that it was “happy to be challenged and explained a disclaimer that this topic is controversial and that people open a dialogue”.
It added: “There is a strong protection in relation to academic freedom, including the right to questions and exams that receive wisdom and present new ideas and controversy or unpopular opinions.”
The BABCP, of which Dr. Younis is an independent review of his social media contributions.
A spokesman informed the Telegraph that some contributions “may not correspond to the values of the organization”.

Caroline Turner, managing director of the British lawyers of Israel, who is the social media history of Dr. Younis emphasized, told the Telegraph: “We are particularly concerned about the behavior of Dr. Tarek Younis, which we believe is discrimination, racism and anti -Semitism.
“In the past or longer year, Dr. Younis published a number of anti -Semitic and high -exposed areas on social media, including the commissioning of international crimes and terrorist attacks against Jews and Israelis as well as the spread of other racist and discriminatory content.
“The public representation of racism and anti-Semitism, which Dr. Younis showed on his social media page, confirms that he violated a number of UCL guidelines and should be subject to disciplinary measures after a thorough investigation of his behavior.”
Dr. Younis was addressed by the Telegraph, but refused to comment.
A UCL spokesman said: “We have a long-established process for external spokesman bookings with which hundreds of these events can take place on the UCL every year, according to our deep commitment to the freedom of expression and at the same time the security of all participants.
“Whenever we receive a complaint, it is examined by our normal processes and we will take all measures as required.”
Middlesex University was addressed for a comment.
